Harrods SOLD???



"The investment arm of Qatar's sovereign wealth fund has bought the famous
department store Harrods from Egyptian-born businessmanMohamed al-Fayed in a deal reported to be worth around 1.5 billion pounds" Reuters.

Shocked to hear that Harrods the department store of all department stores was sold to a Qatari Holding private firm owned by the Royal family!!!!
We will have to wait and see if the Vintage Harrods we all know and love will remain the same?
I reallly hope Selfridges does not go down that same road!

    Wow, 1.6 Billion pounds that's good for our economy now. No wonder Mohamed Al-Fayed sold it. I honestly think it's going to stay the same. They can't afford changing it and losing their costumers, again especially in this economy.
